Did you consider using PyXLL (https://www.pyxll.com, a Python Excel Add-In), to integrate your Python queries into Excel? Rather than pushing data to static reports you could pull the data right from Excel using custom UDFs (worksheet functions) and macros — or even push real time data to Excel using RTD functions, if that was something that would be helpful in your use-case.
