Thanks for your article. I completely agree that there are loads of benefits from using Python over Excel, but sometimes the interactive nature of Excel is still desirable. For those cases it's best to code higher level functions in Python and then call them from Excel using PyXLL (https://www.pyxll.com). That way you have all the advantages of coding in Python but with the ease of use and flexibility of using Excel as your interactive front end.
